No! While your adolescent might feel the growing need for independence, this life stage is when they often need you the most--and this also applies to school activities. Many parents don't want to "embarass" their children by volunteering at school functions, so they drop out altogether. Because of this, middle schools typically have a hard time recruiting parents to help.

We have many ways in which you can help, including tasks that you can do without seeing your child during the school day. Our programs can only be as successful as the effort we all put into them--and someday your child will thank you for doing so!
