PTSA Spirit Week & Boca Bash Information and Update #3

Hello BRCMS families!!  It is hard to believe that Spirit Week is winding down.  The beautiful crisp weather really brought out the excitement in our students.  Just as we started the week, we will end tomorrow morning’s activities with Halloween themed donuts for the winners!!

Today’s dress up theme of “Throwback Thursday” was a great hit.  Kids were dressed in poodle skirts, hippie outfits, old sports jerseys, you name it.  Even some of our teachers and staff members went all out.  7th and 8th grade were practically tied.  Only 7 students separated them today.  However, 6th graders rocked it, keeping them in first place.  That leaves tomorrow as the deciding factor.  This theme everyone can participate in, “Dress to Impress.”  Students are encouraged to look their best in appropriate attire.  Girls can wear skirts or dresses (remember no shorter than the knee) and boys may want to go all out with a tie.  Remember that tomorrow is also picture day, so it is the perfect day for the students to look their best.

Spririt Week Update #2

Good Evening Cobra Families,

We need CAKES and you! Please bring a cake or baked goods for our cake walk at Boca Bash! Parents will collect them tomorrow and Friday in the car line. If you are available to volunteer for spirit week tomorrow or Friday, or at Boca Bash Friday night- email our volunteer coordinator Jessica at This email address is being protected from spambots. Spirit week update: Once again, a big thank you to our parent volunteers, teachers, administrators, and especially the students for making the day such a success. Also want to give out shout out to Coach Childs and Mrs. Milano for steeping up and helping in the gym with the 6th grade. Tomorrow’s activity is called “Minute to Win It - A Bit Dicey.”

Today was an interesting array of twin arrangements. So many of our students (and teachers) dressed as twins, bringing our Spirit Contest even closer. Although 6th grade maintains a small lead, 7th grade had a great turnout today bringing them just behind 8th grade. This is still anyone’s contest to win, so students remember tomorrow is “Throwback Thursday"!! New score updates will be announced tomorrow afternoon at school.

Spririt Week Update

Good evening Cobra Families.  Our Balloon Stomp Party did not disappoint.  We’re not sure who had more fun, the kids participating or the spectators observing them.  Once again, a big thank you to our parent volunteers, teachers, administrators, and students for making the day another great success.  It was great to see so many of the students dressed in pajamas.

6th GRADERS ARE IN THE LEAD!!! Still time for 7th & 8th graders to earn more school spirit points by participating in the daily themes.  Tomorrow is TWIN DAY.  So, pick a friend or two and decide on the perfect outfit.  Remember, all clothing must be appropriate.  New score updates will be announced tomorrow afternoon at school.

Tomorrow morning’s activity will be a good old-fashioned LIMBO Contest.  Students, stretch up this evening so you are nice and flexible tomorrow.  Once again, kids will have the opportunity to earn something sweet if they participate, so encourage your children to join in.
