A Message from PTSA

Hello BRCMS families! Thank you so much to those families that have already signed up to be a member of our PTSA! In PTSA news, we have a parent that has stepped up to be the next President the BRCMS PTSA. Joy Mach will be shadowing me until she feels confident and comfortable in the position and feels like she can go at it alone.  At that time, I will officially be removing myself from the position of President.  Although I will no longer be the acting President, I can assure you that I will continue to work along with Joy, and the entire board, to make sure that our students, teachers, staff and administration have everything that is needed in order to continue to be the wonderful school that BRCMS is!

Our first PTSA meeting was supposed to be this Thursday, but as you know school has been canceled, so we will reschedule after Irma.

Boca Raton Community Middle School
Night of Expectations

Boca Raton Community Middle School’s Night of Expectations (Open House) is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. The evening will provide you with an opportunity to meet your child’s teachers as well as experience the changing of classes. Due to limited seating in the classrooms, this event will be for Parents Only. Please plan to report to your child’s first period class at 6:30pm where a schedule will be provided.

Additional parking is provided at Meadows Park.

The PTSA will also be located inside the entrance of the building to accept membership applications. The cost of membership is $5.00 for students and $10.00 for adults. In addition, the PTSA will be selling Cobra Shirts for $13.00 or 2 for $25.00.

Kim Bremer
The BRCMS PTSA Needs You

Hello there BRCMS families! I would like to introduce myself to the new families here at Boca Middle. My name is Kim Bremer and I am your PTSA President. This is my fourth year in this position at Boca Middle.

As most of you know, I resigned from the position of President last year. I truly believed that it was time to move on and allow somebody else to take over the position, however, nobody was willing to step up and take the position. So, rather than have the PTSA not be active this year, I have decided to remain in the position until somebody steps forward and takes the position over. As much as I love the PTSA and Boca Middle, my life has changed quite a bit and I no longer have the time needed to commit 100% to the position. You see, I now have 2 boys at FSU, a daughter that swims and plays water polo for Boca High and a son that plays on the Jr. Panthers AA Bantam team. On top of all of that, I work 3 days a week and try to keep my household running smooth and efficiently.

If you are interested in taking the position of President over, please feel free to email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I promise that if you decide to step into the role of President of the BRCMS PTSA, I will not just say thank you and leave you alone to learn the position. I am willing to stay around until you feel comfortable enough in the roll to run the PTSA. Also remember that I will always be just a text or phone call away.

BRCMS 2017 Auction

Hello there BRCMS families! It is that time of year again! The annual Boca Middle Auction is right around the corner. It will take place on April 22nd from 6-10pm at The Children's Museum in Boca Raton.

Once again, we will have fantastic items at both our silent and live auction! Tickets are available at the event and cost $25.00, which will include a $5.00 drink voucher for you to enjoy. We will also be serving food catered once again by community favorite Tomasso's!

Parents, once again you can support your favorite teachers by sponsoring them and paying their way to a fun night at the auction! It is a great way to not only support your favorite teacher but it is also a great way to support Boca Raton Community Middle School. Remember, ALL of the MONEY that is made through the annual auction goes DIRECTLY back to the students at Boca Middle!

This year, Mr. Slack and the PTSA have chosen to buy the agendas for the students. With the increase in the amount of students at BRCMS, the cost is approximately $6,800.00 to buy each student an agenda. Using the money from the auction allows us to know, as a community, that we are truly touching the lives of each and every child that passes through the doors of BRCMS! How amazing is that? I think that it is wonderful. It is us MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

With that being said, we hope that you will join us on what promises to be a fantastic evening!

Important PTSA Message

Hello there BRCMS families.

Happy New Year to all of you! It is hard to believe that we are in the second half of the year. As most of you know, this is a very busy time for our students and it is also a very busy time of year for our PTSA board as well.

Valentine's Grams & "Wooden Made Roses":

Currently we are getting ready to sell Valentine's Grams & "wooden made roses" during the week of February 6-10th during all four lunches in the cafeteria. The Roses and the grams will be sold together and will cost the students $1.00. Please send your student in with cash, if possible, for the cost of their purchase. Students may send these grams to their friends, siblings, teachers, administration, or may even choose to bring home the roses to their family members. The roses are beautiful and are very realistic looking. I think that the students will be happy with our decision to sell these roses this Valentine's Day.

By popular request, we have decided to make the roses available for our parents to send to their children at BRCMS. Parents can go to the www.bocamiddleptsa.com online store during the week of February 6-10th and purchase roses to have sent to their child's first hour classroom. Roses will be priced as follows: 1 for $3.00 & 2 for $5.00 The website will accept credit cards and PayPal as payment ONLY. We will not be accepting cash or checks for these roses. Payment MUST be made at the moment of the purchase or the roses and gram(s) will NOT be delivered. These Roses & Grams will be delivered to your students on Valentine's day in their First Hour Class. What a wonderful surprise it will be for your student!

Spirit Week:

Is your student ready for SPIRIT WEEK? Get those school colors ready and make sure you have you favorite college attire on hand too because this is going to be a week that your student will definitely want to participate in, FOR SURE!!

Spirit WEEK will be happening at BRCMS during the week of February 13th-17th. We will have a fun event going on in the courtyard for the 7th and 8th graders and in the gym for the 6th graders every morning. These events will be fun events with prizes that will be given away to the winners of each challenge. Each morning participation will be tallied for each grade level so it is important for your student to get dressed up in the attire of the day! It is a fun week, but it is even MORE fun when the students participate in the events of the week!

The week will come to a close with the BOCA BASH! The Boca Bash will take place on Friday, February 17th from 6-9pm. This is a fun night where the PTSA celebrates the students of Boca Raton Community Middle School for all of their accomplishments throughout the year. It is also a way for the PTSA to say Good Luck on all of the FSA testing that lies ahead of them. We believe in our students and we know that they have been working so hard throughout the year and this is our way of showing it. The cost of this event is $10.00. This will cover the entire night. It covers the entrance fee, 2 slices of pizza, a drink, all of the entertainment (bounce houses, a dance party, cake walk, basketball open gym, and many more fun activities). Students may bring extra money for more concessions if they wish.

Please be on the look out for emails, volunteers! We need YOUR help in order to make the week of SPIRIT WEEK a success.

BRCMS COBRAS t-shirts:

We will be selling BRCMS COBRAS t-shirts in the next week. Please look out for the email with the exact dates.

PTSA  Meeting:

Our next PTSA meeting will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 6:15. We are hoping to be joined by Boca Raton City Council member Scott Singer. Please come out and join us as we will be talking about so many of our PTSA upcoming events.

The 8th grade dance has been set for June 1st. It will be held at the Pavilion Grille on Yamato Road. The dance will go from 6 - 9pm. More information will be sent home as the event gets closer, so please be on the look out.

And finally, I would like to announce that this will officially be my final few months as the President of the BRCMS PTSA. While I have enjoyed my time here at Boca Middle, I feel like it is time to move on and allow someone else to step into this role as President. Currently we are looking for someone to shadow me so that he or she can learn all that they will need to know in order to make this a very smooth transition. At the same time, the board will be looking to fill VP aide to President and Recording Secretary. If you have any interest in any of these positions, please contact me, Kim Bremer at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Together, we CAN make a difference!
